Rematec Wieblingen
As a manufacturer of chemicals, the Kluthe Group is committed according to our technical, economic and ecological capabilities, to recover and recycle the used residual materials that are generated when our products are applied.

We endeavour to network products and processes in such a way that as little waste as possible is produced. Unavoidable surpluses should be reprocessed as sparingly as possible and used for other applications if at all possible.

Our technology - your advantage

The material cycles in nature already represent perfect recycling systems where nothing is wasted or lost unused. This natural recycling represents a good model for modern, environmentally sound waste management concepts, whose ultimate goal is to return as much of the unavoidable waste materials to the economic cycle as possible.

Milestones in our history as a recycling company

1956

As early as 1956, the Kluthe Group started to recycle used organic solvents.

1980

In 1980, the decision was made to entrust one of our own R & D departments with the task of recovering recyclables and raw materials from residues and waste.

1991

In 1991, the construction of the first part of the technical facility at the Mügeln factory was started so that the developmental work could also be put into practice.

2007

In 2007, a second plant was built in Heidelberg for dealing with the recovery of used solvents. Our licence also covered, among other things, the treatment of dichloromethane. In this way we could offer our customers the greatest possible reassurance with their disposal options.

2009

Consolidation of the recycling business in a separate company.

2013

Polychem - Development of a production facility for the refining of specialty chemicals.

2015

Expansion of production facilities for specialty chemicals.

2023

Commissioning of the world's most modern and innovative thin-film evaporator system at the site in Heidelberg Wieblingen.

The processing of consumed goods was subsequently bundled by Chemische Werke Kluthe GmbH into an independent business unit, REMATEC GmbH, from whose activities 5 processes have now been patented.
